Exhaust wraps help to retain heat in your exhaust system, which increases horsepower while reducing radiant heat damage. By wrapping the header and exhaust system it maintains hotter exhaust gases, decreases the density, and allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster! Greater exhaust scavenging is produced and lowers intake temperatures: that equals more horsepower. Heatshield Products is the only insulation company that offers two grades of exhaust and header wraps: standard and premium. Both grades withstand 1200 degrees F continuous and 2000 degrees F intermittent. Our standard quality wrap is available with regular or black "Vermiculite" coating and our premium wrap has a special heat coating which allows them to take 1200 degrees F continuous. Exhaust wrap can be fastened with Thermal-Ties, hose clamps, or wire.
