Oil pressure in small-block and V6/90 Chevrolet engines is regulated by a spring in the oil pump cover. This spring produces approximately 70 psi oil pressure. Used in high-performance oil pump P/N 3848907. Minimum recommended oil pressure for off-highway use is 65 psi at engine operating speed.
