It is for good reason that virtually every top professional engine builder relies on ARP Pro series head studs for their all out competition power plants. Simply stated, there's not a better stud setup on the market today.

These studs are manufactured with ARP2000 which is an exclusive, hybrid-alloy developed to deliver superior strength and better fatigue properties. While 8740 chrome moly and ARP2000 share similar characteristics, ARP2000 is capable of achieving a clamp load at 220,000 psi. ARP2000 is used widely in short track and drag racing as an upgrade from 8740 chrome moly in both steel and aluminum rods. Stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement are typically not a problem, providing care is take during installation.

Premium quality heat treated 8740 chrome-moly steel head studs are available for most every domestic and import application. You won't find a better quality stud on the market from any source. Look for ARP stamped on the end of each stud as your assurance of quality.
