B&M Performance and Off-Road introduces the new Rock/Race GM TH400 Automatic transmission specifically designed and built for Off-Road competition. The foundation starts with a tough and tested Reid Racing Super Hydra 400 Off-road race case and SFI 30.1 certification bellhousing that fits all Chevrolet 90 degree V8's including early and late LS engines and 4.3L V6 engines. Upgrades include a new super tough 300M (Rockwell Hardness) alloy steel 30 spline input shaft, 34 element direct drum and a wide Intermediate band for increased engine braking capability, strength and performance. Other features include a Billet 1045 alloy steel forward hub with bearing, four friction Intermediate clutch pack and a Reid Racing tailhousing with roller bearing providing superior support for the 32 spline output shaft. The forward pattern manual valve body has been re-calibrated to ensure constant pressure, quick shift response and provides engine braking. The transmission is finished off with a B&M Hi-Tek finned aluminum trans pan which both increases fluid capacity and quickly dissipates heat generated by tough off-road race conditions. Handles up to 900 HP/900 LB/FT
