Rugged Heat Shield Hot Rod Sleeve
Prevent vapor lock and present shift cables from melting with Lava™ Hot Rod Sleeve. This heat shield for fuel lines combines the best of two worlds, the flexibility of our Hot Rod Sleeve with the strength of lava rock fiber. Lava™ fiber is naturally acid, chemical, brake fluid, and chemical resistant. Additionally the fiber is 25% stronger than fiberglass and is abrasion resistant.

Installation Is Cool
The special braid of this tube heat shield sleeve allows it to have an expandable inside diameter up to 15%. To expand the inside diameter, shorten the length or bunch up the Lava™hot rod sleeve to allow it to slide on over fittings and terminals. Once over, expand or stretch the length to tighten the sleeve onto the line or hose. To cut, use a sharp knife or pair of scissors. Each kit includes 4 heat shrink to seal the ends of the oil line heat shield sleeve to the cable, tube, or hose it is protecting. Remember a loose-fitting heat shield sleeve is okay if the ends are sealed to prevent heat from getting trapped between the sleeve and the component it is protecting.
