Orders may take longer than usual to process due to manufacturers having issues receiving and shipping parts. If you need to know if a part is in stock, please call prior to placing your order. We are doing everything within our control to ship orders as soon as possible.
Shield your wiring, lines, and cables safe from heat. Forget about that old fire silicone sleeving (450?F max); Thermaflect Sleeve(TM) acts as a thermal barrier capable of reflecting up to 95% of radiant heat away (requires minimum of 1" of airspace). It is excellent to use on your fuel lines, wiring looms, air intake, intercooler pipes, and air conditioner hoses. By keeping fuel and air intake temperatures cool it helps to prevent vapor lock, improves performance, improves mileage and also reduces fuel evaporation. *Weight* there is more; a 3' length our Thermaflect Sleeve(TM) weighs less than 6" of the old silicone covered stuff of the same diameter. Though it weighs much less, it offers superior radiant heat protection. Thermaflect Sleeve(TM) withstands 1100?F of continuous radiant heat and 500?F direct heat. Also available in a hook and loop seam.
Continuous operating reflective temperature of 1100?F, 2000?F intermittent
Capable of reducing up to 90% of radiant heat
Helps to prevent vapor lock, lower air intake temperatures, protects wires from melting
Hook and loop seam allows installation without component assembly
Also available in a hook and loop seam.
Installation tip:
Be sure ends of sleeve are sealed or secured to component you are trying to protect. You can seal the ends using our Thermaflect Tape(TM), Cool Foil Tape(TM), Thermal-Tie(TM), shrink tube, or any mechanical fastener. Securing the ends will ensure no hot air sneaks in behind the sleeve, thus allowing it to work more efficiently.
It also functions better if the heat shield sleeve is tight on the component.
